Chapter 6

Alfie and the Code of Courage

Chapter 6 illustration
Read in Alfie Mode

Alfie stood alone.

The Codebreaker Maze had vanished, and in its place was a swirling digital storm—a tunnel made of whirling code, blinking errors, and glitchy blue lightning.

“Guys?” he called.
No answer.

Just the sound of static and a robotic chuckle echoing through the void.

A distorted voice rang out:

“The Glitch Twins have your crew. Solve the code... or lose them forever.”

Alfie took a deep breath, dusted off his hover-sneakers, and stepped forward.

Inside the storm was a maze of floating code platforms, each one a riddle waiting to be solved.

The first one lit up:

“I am not alive, but I grow. I don’t have lungs, but I need air. What am I?”

Alfie scratched his head. “Easy. That’s fire!”

The platform flashed green and formed a bridge to the next.

Another appeared:

“What’s the only thing you can’t touch, no matter how hard you try?”

Alfie grinned. “Your own reflection!”

The code hissed and shimmered.

As Alfie leapt across, he found himself inside a strange chamber made of broken TV screens and neon symbols.

At the center, glowing with electric light, was a floating Cyber Badge—and next to it, a shimmering cube that pulsed with the voices of his friends.

“Alfie… help…”

But guarding the cube were the Glitch Twins: Brooke and Luke, now transformed into robotic warriors with gleaming armor and glitch-powered gauntlets.

“You're brave, little Earth-boy,” Brooke said.
“But bravery isn't enough.”

“Let’s see if you can handle our final riddle,” Luke growled.

The air shimmered. A massive screen appeared.

“What does it take to be a hero in the stars?”

Alfie stepped forward. His eyes glowed with light from the badges he’d earned.

“It’s not muscles or gadgets…
It’s courage when you're scared,
loyalty when you're tested,
and a really good inflatable crocodile friend.”

DING!

The screen exploded with light.
The Glitch Twins screamed as their glitch armor shattered, sending them flying into a reboot portal.

The cube cracked open—releasing beams of light—and one by one, the crew of the Black Dragon’s Foot reappeared.

Skull Fire blinked. “Alfie… you saved us.”

McDonalds bounced over. “Did you say something about courage or croco-nuggets?”

Everyone laughed. Alfie held up the glowing Cyber Badge.

🏅 ZONE 4 COMPLETE: CODE OF COURAGE UNLOCKED 🏅

As they boarded the ship again, Blip Blop displayed a new message on the screen:

Next Zone: The Legend of the Zelda Circuit
“Solve the Dungeon of Light and find the Master Melody.”

Zorgabella gasped. “That’s one of the most sacred zones of them all!”

“Time to level up,” said Alfie, cracking his knuckles.
