The Black Dragon’s Foot hovered outside a colossal steel planet covered in gears, towers, and glowing data streams.
This was Zone 4: Cybertron—home of the Transformers Galactic Grid Games.
As the crew stepped onto the platform, everything beneath their feet shifted and clicked into a new shape.
“This place is alive,” whispered Alfie.
Just then, a massive robotic head descended from the sky, its eyes scanning each of them.
“Welcome, crew of Captain Skull Fire.”
“To claim the badge of Cybertron, you must survive the Codebreaker Maze and defeat the Decepti-Dance Team in battle. Do you accept?”
“Do bananas make good breakfast swords?” replied Nutters confidently.
“…I’ll take that as a yes,” said the voice.
The crew entered the Maze of Megabytes, an enormous, shifting labyrinth filled with mirror walls, laser riddles, and holographic Decepticon trickery. Every few minutes, the walls changed places with a CHONK! and a riddle would flash across the air:
“What has 88 teeth, runs on oil, and sings better than Zorgabella?”
McDonalds the inflatable crocodile huffed. “That’s rude.”
“Easy,” said Alfie. “A musical battlebot!”
Ding! The wall slid away, revealing the next room.
In one chamber, they had to build a robot out of spare toaster parts. In another, they battled a disco-ball drone with Nutters doing backflips while shouting, “I’M A DANCE WARRIOR!”
Finally, they reached the maze’s heart: a glowing arena with silver walls and a floating DJ booth. From a burst of smoke emerged the Decepti-Dance Team—four evil robots with neon mohawks and roller skates.
“To win this badge,” they sneered,
“You’ve got to beat us in a dance-off puzzle battle.”
🎵 Music blared.
Riddles flew through the air with every beat.
Blip Blop rapped binary code.
Zorgabella sang notes that cracked the sound walls.
McDonalds moonwalked upside down on the ceiling.
And Alfie… spun so fast he unlocked a hidden cheat code beneath his shoes:
💥 Gravity Defying Twist-O-Matic Mode 💥
He flipped, bounced, answered three riddles in one breath, and sent the Decepti-Dancers flying into a reset pod.
The crowd (yes, even robots have crowds) cheered.
Lasers spelled out:
🏅 ZONE 4 COMPLETE: CYBERTRON BADGE UNLOCKED 🏅
But then—
CRACK-KOOOOM!
The maze trembled. The sky above split open.
And descending on a glowing hoverboard came—
The Glitch Twins.
Two floating figures in black capes, faces covered by shifting static.
One held a glitch blade.
The other, a keyboard that shot error messages.
“You’re getting too close to the Grand Prize,” one hissed.
“So we’ve decided... it’s time to rewrite the rules.”
ZAP!
With a flash of static, the crew vanished—
sucked into a swirling code storm.
All except Alfie.
He was left standing in the center of the maze, holding the badge—and the only hope of rescuing his friends.
