Back to Captain Skull Fire and the Argentina Christmas Adventure

Chapter 7

The Box That Opened the Universe

Read in Alfie Mode

Read slowly at first… then faster… because this is where everything changes.

The new present sat quietly in the snow.

Too quietly.

🎁
No shaking.
No glowing.
No fart noises.

“That’s suspicious,” said Dad.

Alfie stepped forward. Chimichanga saluted again.
“Sidekick ready. Mostly brave.”

Alfie carefully peeled back the tag:

FOR ALFIE — WHEN YOU’RE READY

Alfie nodded.
“I’m ready.”

He lifted the lid.

At first—nothing.

Then a warm red glow spilled out, swirling like fire mixed with starlight. The air hummed. The snow lifted off the ground.

A deep, calm voice spoke from inside the box:

“Alfie…
Christmas adventures are fun…
but bigger journeys are calling.”

A boot stepped out.
Then a cape.
Then a familiar flaming skull emblem.

Out rose the legendary hero himself—

His cloak shimmered like burning embers. His eyes glowed kind and powerful. Three blades gleamed at his side—the same ones he had won long ago.

Chimichanga gasped.
“WOAH. Are you… a pirate? A space hero? A flaming dad?”

Captain Skullfire smiled.
“All of the above.”

Messi stepped back respectfully.
“Che… he’s important.”

Santa removed his hat.
The penguin referee saluted the wrong direction.
The llamas stopped conga-ing for the first time ever.

Captain Skullfire knelt in front of Alfie.

“You’ve learned teamwork,” he said.
“You’ve chosen kindness over chaos.”
“And you’ve survived pan dulce in zero gravity.”

Alfie grinned.

Captain Skullfire stood and raised one glowing hand.

“Now,” he said, “it’s time for something totally unexpected.”

He snapped his fingers.

🔥 WHOOM! 🔥

A giant portal ripped open in the sky—not snow, not space, but something in between.

Inside it spun:

  • stars
  • oceans
  • dojo floors
  • swimming lanes
  • distant planets
  • and dreams waiting to be trained

“This,” said Captain Skullfire, “is the Next Storyline.”

Chimichanga clung to Alfie’s shoulder.
“Sidekick coming too, right?”

Captain Skullfire chuckled.
“Every great hero needs one.”

Alfie looked back one last time.

The Argentina North Pole waved goodbye.
The penguin yelled, “MATCH OVER!”
The llamas resumed conga… gently.

Alfie stepped toward the portal.

His heart raced—not scared…
excited.

As they crossed the threshold, Captain Skullfire spoke one final sentence:

“Tonight was Christmas fun…
but tomorrow night…”

The portal blazed brighter.

“…we begin the real adventure.”
