Chapter 11

Sonic Speed Rescue

Read in Alfie Mode

The Black Dragon’s Foot blasted into Zone 9: Sonic Speedway Galaxy.

Neon racetracks looped through space, twisting over asteroid fields and zooming past floating cities. Giant holograms of Sonic the Hedgehog waved them toward the Ultimate Speed Challenge.

Blip Blop beeped nervously.

“Warning: Only the fastest racers survive here.”

Trouble at the Starting Line

The crew was warming up when four shadowy figures stepped from the pit lane.
They all wore black skeleton costumes—just like the Cobra Kai gang from the Karate Kid Halloween dance—except these had glowing red eye masks.

The leader cracked his knuckles. “Name’s Tommy. These are my boys—Jude, Francis, and Vigo.”

Vigo smirked. “We own this track. No newbies allowed.”

Jude leaned forward. “If you want to race, you’ve got to beat us first.”

The Speed Gauntlet

The challenge: A 5-lap race through the Speedway’s most dangerous sections—Loop of Doom, Rocket Tunnel, and the Chaos Emerald Spiral.

Sonic himself waved the green flag.

“Ready… set… GO!”

The bad boys shot ahead on jet bikes, weaving in and out like vipers.

Penny used her braid as a slingshot to fling Alfie’s kart forward.
Laragh blocked Francis by spinning her fiery braid in his face, forcing him to swerve.

But Tommy was the fastest—until Alfie remembered Kata Shizuki Ichi.

He leaned, blocked a side hit, and punched the booster controls—launching his kart past Tommy on the Loop of Doom.

Chaos Emerald Spiral

The final section was a twisting corkscrew track lined with spinning spike traps.

Jude tried to knock Alfie off, but Charlie—riding a hoverboard—zoomed in from above, dropping a banana bomb right in front of him. Jude spun out in a glittery explosion.

Francis was next—Skull Fire swung The Black Dragon’s Foot low, scaring him so badly he jumped off his bike into a pile of golden rings.

That left Tommy.

The Final Move

At the last turn, Vigo tried to block Alfie, but McDonalds the inflatable crocodile bounced into him, knocking Vigo straight into the pit lane.

Tommy and Alfie were neck-and-neck.
Alfie shouted, “Hey Tommy! GET OVER HERE!”—just like Scorpion.

Tommy glanced back, confused—just in time for Alfie to take the inside corner and win by half a kart length.

Aftermath

The Cobra Kai gang grumbled.
Tommy crossed his arms. “You’re alright, kid. But next time… we won’t go easy.”

Alfie smirked. “Neither will we.”

The crew claimed the Chaos Emerald, which powered up the ship’s warp drive.

Next stop: Zone 10: Jurassic Park Lost Dinosaur World.
