JJ and the Jelly Meteor (Down Under the Stars)

Narrator Voice (rolling like a friendly ocean breeze):
It was a calm night aboard the Black Dragon’s Foot, sailing over the southern skies of planet Earth — right above the twinkling islands of Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Captain Skull Fire leaned over the deck, admiring the shimmering green glow of the southern lights.
“Ahh,” he said, “no space pirates, no slime, no socks — just peace and the sweet smell of adventure.”

But peace never lasts long with this crew.

🌠 Scene 1 — “The Jelly Meteor”

JJ was at the ship’s telescope when something squishy hit the lens.
SPLAT!

“Captain, incoming… dessert?” JJ said, wiping it with a spoon.

A glowing meteor streaked across the sky, trailing sparkles of pink jelly.
It landed right in the ocean near the North Island — somewhere between Auckland and the Coromandel.

“Looks like pudding from the heavens!” said McDonalds the inflatable crocodile, licking his snout.

“Helm to splashdown zone!” ordered Captain Skull Fire.
The ship descended through the clouds, landing softly beside a floating, glowing jelly island.

🍮 Scene 2 — “The Goo Lagoon”

The island shimmered like raspberry jelly.
It jiggled when you stepped on it, and smelled like pavlova and feijoas.

JJ poked the jelly with his spoon.
“It’s alive!” he gasped, as it burbled and formed a smiling face.

“Greetings,” gurgled the jelly blob. “I am Jellinora, Queen of the Goo Lagoon. You’ve disturbed my royal nap.”

Alfie (buzz cut shining under the moonlight) grinned. “Sorry, Your Majesty, we thought you were dessert!”

Jellinora laughed — a bubbly, wobbly laugh. “Dessert? Oh dear, that’s what the Kiwi Pirates said before they disappeared!”

“Kiwi pirates?” asked Eoin.

“Aye,” said Captain Skull Fire. “The legendary seafarers who flew their flag over the Hauraki Gulf! Half bird, half pirate, all trouble.”

🥝 Scene 3 — “The Kiwi Pirates Return”

Suddenly, the lagoon rippled — and out popped a fleet of wooden hover-boats shaped like giant kiwi birds, complete with beaks that fired jellyballs.

Their leader, Captain Beaky O’Feather, squawked,
“Arr, who dares disturb the sacred pudding of the skies?”

JJ raised his spoon defensively. “Uh… dessert inspectors?”

The kiwi pirates surrounded them, feathers ruffled and goggles glinting.
McDonalds whispered, “They’re adorable… and slightly terrifying.”

Cluckles, the ninja chicken, bowed respectfully. “Flightless, yet fearless. I like it.”

Captain Skull Fire stepped forward. “We mean no harm, Beaky. We seek peace—and maybe a slice of that glowing jelly.”

Beaky snorted. “Peace? Then prove it in the traditional way… with a Pavlova Bounce-Off!

🪩 Scene 4 — “The Pavlova Bounce-Off”

Under the moonlight, the Black Dragon’s Foot crew and the Kiwi Pirates faced off on floating pavlova discs.

Each player bounced to the beat of a musical haka remix — the jelly pulsing underfoot.
JJ used his spoon as a drumstick, Alfie cartwheeled like a pro, and McDonalds belly-flopped so hard it created a new island.

Queen Jellinora laughed so hard her crown wobbled. “This is the best entertainment since the Meringue Meteor Showers!”

When the music stopped, everyone collapsed into the gooey jelly.

Beaky O’Feather stood tall, dripping sugar and cream. “You pirates have heart. Let’s call it a draw — and a feast!”

🥝 Scene 5 — “A Sweet Farewell”

That night, the two pirate crews shared a grand feast of pavlova, hokey pokey ice cream, and glow-jelly pudding under the southern stars.

Captain Skull Fire raised a glass of L&P. “To peace, pudding, and perfect pavs!”

Alfie grinned. “And to New Zealand — where even desserts can fight back.”

As dawn rose over Auckland’s coastline, the Black Dragon’s Foot lifted gently back into the clouds — leaving behind a trail of glittering jelly and a few satisfied Kiwi pirates waving from below.

🌟 Lesson

Curiosity needs caution.
Even the sweetest discoveries can wobble out of control — but sharing always brings balance (and pudding).
