Finding Harry Potter

The Infinite Brick pulsed with golden light in Alfie's hands as he watched Chunky King Monkey tumble toward the bubbling lava below. There was no time to think—only time to feel.

"I've got you!" Alfie shouted, and the brick responded to his courage like a loyal friend. A beam of shimmering rainbow light shot from the ancient artifact, wrapping around Chunky like a warm blanket and lifting him safely to the rocky ledge beside Dad.

"Ooh-ooh-AHH!" Chunky hooted gratefully, giving Dad an enormous monkey hug that made his glasses go wonky.

But there was still the dragon's cracking egg to save! Alfie carefully placed it in the Magma Dragon's grateful claws just as the volcano gave one final tremendous RUMBLE—and suddenly, a swirling portal opened beneath their feet.

Down, down, down they tumbled through sparkling darkness, landing with a soft THUMP on something that felt like... grass?

Alfie opened his eyes and gasped.

They were standing in front of an enormous castle with towers that stretched up toward a moody grey sky. Candles floated in distant windows, and somewhere, an owl hooted mysteriously.

"Dad," Alfie whispered, his eyes growing as round as galleons. "Is this... Hogwarts?"

Before Dad could answer, a boy about Alfie's age stumbled out from behind a crooked tree. He had messy black hair, round glasses, and looked thoroughly confused—like someone who'd forgotten where he put his favourite toy, except much worse.

"I... I can't remember," the boy mumbled, touching his forehead where a lightning-shaped scar flickered faintly. "Who am I? Where are my friends?"

"You're Harry Potter!" Alfie exclaimed. "And you're brilliant! Don't you remember?"

Harry shook his head sadly. "Everything's all... muddled. Like someone's stirred up my memories with a giant spoon. I know I'm supposed to be someone, but I don't know who anymore."

Dad knelt down beside Harry, his voice gentle. "That sounds really confusing, mate. Like when you wake up from a strange dream and can't quite find yourself yet."

The Infinite Brick hummed warmly in Alfie's pocket. He understood something important—this adventure was about feeling lost and confused, about not knowing who you really are. Sometimes Alfie felt that way too, like when big emotions tumbled around inside him and he couldn't sort them out.

"We'll help you find your friends," Alfie said firmly. "They'll remind you who you are!"

And so began the most magical mystery hunt Alfie had ever experienced. They searched the Great Hall, where enchanted ceiling-clouds spelled out riddles. They explored the moving staircases, which kept trying to send them to the wrong floors (Dad got very dizzy). They even visited Hagrid's empty hut, where enormous pumpkins held clues inside.

"Ron's in the Quidditch pitch!" Alfie decoded from a riddle. "Hermione's in the library—obviously! Ginny's by the lake, and Hagrid's in the Forbidden Forest!"

But finding them wasn't easy. Dark shadows slithered through the corridors, and eerie green spells shot from nowhere—Voldemort's curses, trying to keep Harry lost and confused forever!

"Protego!" Harry shouted suddenly, and a shield of blue light burst from his wand. His eyes widened with surprise. "I... I remember that spell!"

"Your friends are helping you remember!" Alfie cheered.

One by one, they found everyone—Ron cracking jokes that made Harry laugh, Hermione explaining things that made his brain tick, Ginny being brave and fierce, and Hagrid giving hugs that felt like home. With each friend, Harry's memories grew stronger.

"I know who I am now," Harry said finally, standing tall. "I'm Harry Potter. And I'm not alone—I never was."

As the last curse faded into nothing, something glittered on the ground near Harry's feet. Alfie picked it up carefully. It was a tiny golden snitch, but instead of wings, it had a keyhole right in its centre.

"The Portal Key," Harry said, smiling. "It'll take you to your next adventure. Thank you, Alfie—you helped me find myself again."

The snitch began to glow, spinning faster and faster. A new portal swirled open, showing glimpses of somewhere dark, somewhere underwater, somewhere with enormous, shadowy shapes moving slowly through the deep...

"Ready for another adventure, mate?" Dad asked, taking Alfie's hand.

But as they stepped toward the portal, a low, rumbling growl echoed from the darkness ahead—and two massive yellow eyes blinked open in the abyss.
